These South American gems are an easy to care for beautiful fish. They can handle a wide variety of temperatures and water conditions making them a great fish for the beginner aquarist. If you decide on these beauties consider getting them in a group of 5 or more, they will be happier and their colors may even intensify. They are considered a peaceful community fish so they would do well with most livebearers, rasboras, and other tetras.
